Opening 2024: We are open every day from June 1, to September 15, and on weekends from September 21, to October 27.
It is located on the Alta via n. 1 of Valle d’Aosta and on the most recent Sentieri del Lys, along the route of the centenary Oropa Procession.
From the Valle d’Aosta side
From Pont Saint Martin take the regional road of the Gressoney valley and after the village of Fontainemore continue for a kilometre until you reach the bridge on the right. After turning, follow the indications for Coumarial, where you can leave your car, or for Pillaz. From both places starts the path to be followed on foot to the refuge. From the Biella side
From Biella go up along the state road 144 until you reach the Sanctuary of Oropa, where you continue following the indications for the cable car with a practical car park. From here you can decide whether to use the lifts or reach the refuge on foot. For the signage and travel times see section Itineraries.
